Winter Solstice Already!!!

We had sunshine on our shortest day of the year here in Scarecrow's Garden in South Australia, that was after 2mm of rain overnight and a drizzly morning!

Potting Up: New purchases
Indian Curry Tree Murraya koenigii
Mushroom Plant Rungia kiossii
Native Peppermint Mentha australis
Native Violet Viola hederacea
Potato Onions Allium cepa
Snow in Summer Cerastium tormentosum
Tree Onions Allium cepa, proliferum
All from Greenpatch Seeds
Red Papaya Carica papaya 'Thai Red' - a freebie plant from a Diggers Club order
Strawberry 'Temptation' Fragaria x ananassa - also from Diggers Club
Some of the above will need extra care to keep them warm during the rest of our winter.

Lime Balm Melissa officinalis 'Lime'
Loganberry Rubus loganobaccus
Rosemary Dark Blue Rosmarinus officinalis
Rosemary Prostrate Rosmarinus officinalis 'Prostratus'
Winter Savory Satureja montana

Planting Out:
At home 3 Stella Cherry Seedlings and 1 Gooseberry plant were moved from elsewhere in the garden to the Orchard new beds
At the Community Garden:
Alexanders Smyrnium olusatrum
Bay Tree Laurus nobilis
Coriander Coriandrum sativum
Golden Marjoram Origanum vulgare 'Aureum'
Oregano Origanum vulgare
Parsley Italian Petroselinum crispum 'Neapolitanum'
Rosemary Prostrate Rosmarinus officinalis 'Prostratus'
Thyme Pizza Thymus pulegloidea 'Tabor'
All planted into the Herb Garden Tank Bed

The next lot of propagation will be Seeds of Green crops  which can be sown on the 28th and 29th of June. I might sow some Leek seeds but will probably wait until the second quarter (Fruit planting) as these can be sown at either time.
