What's happening in the garden?

The Tagasaste is in bloom and the bees are loving it!

Propagation:
Potting up:

The Pineapple Mint cuttings taken at the beginning of this month were ready to pot up...I ended up with 12 plants.
Some Daisies (pink ones and white) were potted on and tidied for sale at the weekend markets; they all sold.

Cuttings/Division:

I had to prune back the Anisodontea capensis that was hanging over the end of one of the benches...so I took a pot of cuttings from the trimmings. wink

New in the Garden This week:

Remember those Farmyard Feral Chookies...well we finally got some eggs from them...of course we have to collect them after dark. Doc is re-naming this lot The Teenage Mutant Ninja Chickens...Cowabunga Dude! lol

The Broad Beans on Bed 1 are not only flowering...

but beginning to set pods.

My latest order from Green Harvest arrived promptly after ordering...
Yacon Polymnia sonchifolia
Turmeric Curcuma domestica
Jumbo Ginger Zingiber officinalis
Comfrey Symphytum officinale
I'll be experimenting with some of these in the Wicking Worm Bed system and in the hot house!

A fellow veg growing friend gave me a few of her treasured Purple Congo potatoes to grow. I can't wait to compare these to my Blue Sapphire purple spudz this year!
