Doc's Flowers

When we arranged for the group visits last month Doc decided that the front yard needed some brightening up. So we bought some seedling Petunias and Portulacas and planted up the tyres.
These flowers really love the heat and Doc has been diligently watering them with bucketed water.

There was only one slight problem...when the Garden Group started their tour in the front garden they took one look over the fence and saw...the Cob Oven! They all started asking questions about it and didn't even notice the flowers until later.

Looking great Scarecrow, I have decided to plant some flowers to brighten the place a little as well. We arent quite ready to remove the shades yet as we still have a little bit of heat to go. Guess what still no rain here, you have't really had much either as I just checked your rain count for the year so far. How's us girls surpose to have a bloomin garden. PS I posted a big thanks to our lovely Doc on my blog too.
Cheers Muzzy
Yes flowers make a nice change to dust!
They are predicting some rain after ANZAC day but the outlook isn't great with lower than average rains forecast for the coming months...argh!!!
