Sunflowers and Artichokes
The Jerusalem Artichokes (Helianthus tuberosus)
in the Kitchen Garden
are towering over the jungle now and flowering.

are also flowering...
...their flowers are almost identical.

Mine are at about 10 feet tall .... No flowers though so not expecting much in the way of tubers ...

I don't know why, but my Buddy just adores eating Jerusalem artichoke leaves! Fortunate that I have plenty to go round. They are a bit of an invasive pest sometimes, but I love to eat them - despite the side effects!
