The Sietch Blog
I've recently added a new blog to my list,
actually I've added quite a few,
but this one is called The Sietch Blog
These folks have some interesting posts with news on the environment.

Sietch is a word from Frank Herbert’s Dune books.
It means,
"A place of sanctuary in times of danger"

A couple of their posts that have caught my attention lately:
- Global Warming Makes You Sad - A look at the effects of Climate Change on Australians.
- The Kids Are Alright - The results of a survey on how the youth of today feel about the state of our environment.
- And today's very interesting post with links to Carl Warner's fascinating works. The post's called Where Our Food Comes From

Now this is just scary. I've been following your blog, and added it to my RSS feeds, since joining the -ish forums, and following your progress with the wicking beds.
Then just two days ago I added the sietch blog feed, after finding the great post http://www.blog.thesietch.org/2006/06/22/new-solar-thermal-panel-project/
I like what doc does with the warratah (star) posts and the poly pipes too.
GMTA indeed.
Ha! Mr Mushypeas
The Sietch Blog is very interesting isn't it?
Stand by for more star pickets and poly pipes on Doc's blog...we've been busy again.
Thanks for the link to the Sietch Blog Scarecrow, I'll take the time to sit and read it this afternoon.
I've been meaning to thank you too for all the information about your trials with the wick gardens. They are sounding like the answer for all of us over the summer months.
Hello Polly
I'm still learning with the wicking beds but yes they seem very water-wise don't they.
They are a bit of work to set up but hopefully they will then look after themselves for awhile...at least I'm not carting watering-cans to them everyday like elsewhere in the garden in this heat.
Thanks so much for the kind words about our little blog :)
You seem to have a very nice site yourself. We are always looking for quest authors if you are interested.
Hey Wifey Person
Does this mean I have even more work to do???
You are a hard taskmaster LOL
